A little bit about me.

Click one of the buttons below to learn more about my background.

Experience

I thrive at the intersection of human capital strategy, learning, and organizational impact—designing engaging programs, coaching leaders, and optimizing talent systems to drive meaningful growth. Whether revamping an LMS, guiding knowledge management practices, or making compliance training actually engaging, my goal is to connect learning with business success.

My career began in talent development as a swim school manager, where I learned to break down complex skills, build structured learning environments, and coach employees. From there, I moved into recruiting and compliance training, ensuring equitable hiring and data informed decision-making. That foundation led me into human capital consulting, where I managed business development initiatives, shaped workforce strategies, and delivered talent initiatives to align people with long-term strategy.

As an L&D and human capital professional, I integrate technology, coaching, and data-driven insights to build programs that transform how organizations develop talent. One of my proudest achievements? Spearheading Growth & Development Month—an initiative that increased engagement and knowledge-sharing across an entire organization. I also led an LMS transition that boosted course completion rates by 300%—because learning platforms should work for people, not the other way around.

I believe in momentum—turning challenges, ideas, and strategic shifts into something impactful. When I’m not reimagining learning and talent development, I’m probably deep in a new hobby (I collect them like some people collect coffee mugs) or reminiscing about my brief stint as a high school deckhand catching halibut, sharks, and salmon.

Let’s connect—whether you need a strategic human capital partner, a learning & development innovator, or just someone to talk shop with in an evolving workplace.

Education

American University

B.A. Literature

(Transcultural Studies)

My background in Transcultural Studies shaped how I approach learning and development—by recognizing that communication, storytelling, and cultural context are critical to engagement. Through coursework in global literature, film, and discourse analysis, I developed a deep understanding of how narratives shape identity, power structures, and collective experiences. This foundation allows me to design training that resonates across diverse learners, ensuring content is both inclusive and impactful.

Studying theories of representation, globalization, and cultural production taught me to think critically about how people absorb and interpret information—essential in crafting learning experiences that stick. Whether it’s making compliance training more engaging, designing leadership development rooted in real-world storytelling, or ensuring learning platforms support equity and accessibility, my degree helps me create learning environments that are dynamic, relevant, and deeply human.
